Guys Rocked It Out!

Last night on American Idol it was the guys turn to sing. I think the guys are better than the girls this year, Taylor Hicks is my favorite. He is a true musician and I love that. He just loves music so much and I love that. I don't care if he is grey, he rocks! Everyone thinks Ace is so cute, but he is a little too pretty for my taste. He is cute and all and he can sing so I am sure he will go far in the competition. Gideon gets on my nerves. He is very arrogant. I thought his little performance was cheesy. The guy who sang Copa Cabana cracked me up. He kept growling it was hilarious. I couldn't believe Simon said that Elliot was the best male vocal ever on the show. He can sing and all but he was not the best ever. The bald rocker guy was pretty good.

American Idol Whore

I will admit it, I love American Idol. I can't help it, I am addicted. I love it! Last night it was the girl's turn and I must say none of them wowed me. I wasn't that impressed. I mean it's the first night, you have to come out guns blazing and show everyone how much you rock! I like the big girl..I can't remember her name, but she told Simon about himself. And I like Paris. I didn't like that the judges compared Paris to Fantasia because I don't think that Fantasia can really sing but whatever. I can't wait for the guys to perform tonight. I really like the gray haired guy. I know he is older and doesn't look like an American Idol but I love him.

There's Gotta Be Something More

I realized today that at times I hate this place...(my job). Today one of my supervisor's we shall call her AR questioned me on how I got a price for one of the patient's procedures. She seemed satisfied with my response and left me alone. 20 mins later she calls me into her office to question me yet again. So I gave her exact same response I gave her last time. She then takes it to my other supervisor, we shall call her TSC, and asks her if I did it right. TSC says that since it's a medicare replacement plan that there is no way we can charge the customer what I quoted the customer. First off, I have gotten no training on this particular medicare replacement plan, Secondly, my supervisors don't even know how to price the freakin' thing, and thirdly back up off my ass bitches! So now they have me calling the insurance company and questioning them on their charging and see what's up. It's bullshit. whew. Now I feel better.

Snow

Well here in the most boring place on Earth we had an extremely warm January and I loved every minuet of it! Now in the middle of February we are having a winter storm. lol It wasn't too bad actually but the people around here are not use to winter weather at all. It started sleeting last night around 7:30 and then switched to snow around 9 or so. So this morning I had to be at work by 7 and I drive a Dodge 1500 Quad Cab that fish-tails like no other on the ice, so my husband was nice enough to drive me to work this morning. I am glad I didn't drive because every idiot in the town was out driving. Just because there is snow on the roads does not give you an excuse to be an idiot.

I am working in the ER today and so far we have had 2 patients. That's right folks...two. I have been here three hours and 2 people. We are dead. So I am killing time surfin' the web and checking out new blogs. I am also trying to figure out how to add links to my blog. I am retarded when it comes to computers. So I guess I will have to go ask my little brother and see if he can do it. He is great with computers.

V-Day

For V-Day Mike surprised me and had a dozen yellow tulips and a huge balloon delivered to me at work. It was so sweet. I just took him to lunch at Johnny Carino's and bought him Saw II. I haven't' seen the movie, but he says it is good.

Later on V-day we headed out to Mike's Mom and she bought me a ton of baby making stuff. lol
She bought me 5 gallons of orange juice to help me absorb protein and two huge containers of pre natal vitamins, 4 maternity shirts, a book on how to conceive quickly, a pack of diapers, a pack of baby washcloths, and I think that might be it. But yeah... no pressure to have a baby right...lol

Blueberry Hill

Yesterday in the ER the Coweta Fire Department brought in this lady who had fallen in her yard. She was maybe 4 feet tall and at least 5 feet wide. She was dressed in blue sweats so she looked like a blueberry that had been rolling down a hill, she had grass all over her and in her hair. Apparently this lady falls a lot and she comes in by ambulance a lot. It was great! Just imagine a big puffy blueberry covered in grass, now picture that same lady rolling down a hill and grass all over her..it was priceless.

I'm Out!

One of the insurance verifiers in my office is out this week on jury duty, so that leaves Carrie and myself to pick up the slack. We are swamped with inpatients and observations to verify every day and yet they keep bringing us more work to do. Are they forgetting we are short one person and having to split up their share of inpatients, observations, and surgeries? I guess they just don't care. It's very frustrating though. The girl that is out on jury duty never really kept up with her surgeries and Carrie and I were always having to help her out, but at least she would do her inpatients and stuff. I am not quite sure why she couldn't ever get her surgeries done, but she couldn't.

It must be nice to be called to jury duty. That's a week paid vacation. I have never been called jury duty and I don't think that's fair.

Super Bowl

I had a Super Bowl party yesterday but not many showed up. It was just Bobbi,Sean,Emmy,Jamie,Mike,Rob, and myself. Usually we have tons of people but not this year. Lots of people said they were going to come but never showed. Oh well. We still had a good time and good food. Mike's Mom was nice enough to buy us pretty much everything we needed for the party.

Funny thing happened Sunday morning...I was in the shower washing my hair and all of a sudden I felt dizzy and light headed. I yelled at Mike to have him come in there and by the time he got to the bathroom and opened the shower curtain I had fainted. He said all he heard was my head pounding against the tiles as I fell. I don't remember falling or passing out or anything. But after I came to, I had horrible abdominal pain. So I put a heating pad on it and it began to go away some, so I am guessing it was just menstrual cramps but who knows. But I guess I am okay since I haven't fainted since.
