Merry Christmas

Christmas was good this year. We did Christmas morning at my Mom's house and then had lunch at Mike's brothers. Christmas morning at my Mom's my little brother proposed to his girlfriend of 6 weeks. She accepted and they are planning to marry July 7th of this year. I am not sure why they are in such a hurry but whatever.

My nephew got the hook up this year. For once his dad, my brother,bought him gifts. I was impressed. I am sure he only bought him presents to impress the girlfriend, but I don't care. This way my nephew got lots of presents and he was excited! I got clothes from my Mom and "Santa". My husband got me the Post Secret book and the Trivial Pursuit "Totally 80's". My brother got me a wine bottle chiller and some lotion from Victoria's Secret. After presents we ate breakfast and I got ill. Apparently my belly is not found of breakfast casserole. I spent a hour in pure misery then it decided to all come out and I spent 20 mins getting rid of it. But then I felt much better so it was worth throwing it all up.

We then headed to Mike's Mom's house. There we opened presents as well. I got some house shoes, a tennis bracelet, a ring, perfume, and a necklace. After we all opened our gifts we headed over to Mike's brother's house for lunch. We again opened presents. They got us a Hickory Farms meat and cheese tray thing. Okay here is my problem with this gift...Mike and I neither one can eat this greasy shit. Did they not think about that? So our plan next year is to get them something totally useless. So we are leaning towards a porn movie. My sister in law is so uptight I know there is no way she would watch some porn. They are either getting porn or some kind of war movie with lots of blood and cussing. She will LOVE it. lol

I had to leave the festivities early to go to my Mom's and cook for Christmas dinner. I made the ham , green bean casserole, and sweet potatoes. They all came out pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Dinner was rather nice. Mike's Mom came and brought a shrimp platter,veggie platter, deviled eggs, and snickerdoodle cookies. She is litteraly the best cook. I love all of her food.

Now I am trying to figure out what to do for New Year's Eve. My husband has to be at work at 7:15 New Year's day so he can't really go out. He says he can, he will just be tired the next day but I hate to do that to him.

My New Obsession...

This past weekend I tried the cherry cordial hersey's kisses, and I want you to all know..I love them! I am not a fan of chocolate covered cherries because I don't like the texture of the cherry in my mouth...weird I know. I love the cherry cordial kisses.
Hershey has also put out candy cane kisses and those are so yummy too! Hershey YOU ROCK!

Down Time

I am bored so here is a poem that just came to me.

And yet when I was with you, I was free.
I didn't have a care in the world.
Life seemed to have such potential.
I completely believed I was your girl.
I thought being with you was essential.

I blindly thought you wanted to be with me.
